Privacy Policy

Your privacy is our top priority. Here's how we protect it.

Last updated: 2 October 2026

1. Our Core Privacy Promise

DocEasy processes everything locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

DocEasy is built on a 100% client-side architecture. This means every image, PDF, document, and text file you process using our tools stays entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded, transmitted, stored, or logged on our servers or any third-party server.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be crystal clear about what we never collect:

  • Your files: Photos, PDFs, documents, signatures, invoices, and text you process are never seen by us.
  • Extracted content: OCR text, invoice details, or any processed output never reaches us.
  • Personal information: No name, email, phone number, or address is required to use the Website.
  • Account data: We do not have user accounts, so we store no login credentials.
  • Biometric data: Face photos used in passport tools are processed locally and instantly discarded from memory when you close the tab.

3. Information We Do Collect (Minimal)

While your files stay on your device, we do collect a tiny amount of non-personal technical data to keep the Website running:

  • Anonymous analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable data about page views, browser type, device type, and country. This helps us understand which tools are popular and improve them.
  • Error logs: Anonymous technical errors (like JavaScript crashes) to fix bugs. These never contain your file content.
  • Local storage: A preference (dark/light theme) is stored in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

4. Cookies & Advertising

DocEasy may display advertisements served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. These services may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

  • Serve personalized or non-personalized ads based on your prior visits to our Website or other websites.
  • Measure ad performance.
  • Prevent fraudulent ad activity.

Google AdSense & DoubleClick Cookie

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our Website. Google's use of the DoubleClick cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our Website or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DoubleClick cookie for interest-based advertising by visiting the Google Ads Settings page.

You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics.

For more information on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, please read Google's Partner Site Policy.

5. Children's Privacy

DocEasy is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Third-Party Libraries

DocEasy uses open-source JavaScript libraries (such as PDF.js, PDF-Lib, JSZip, Tesseract.js, MediaPipe) loaded from reputable CDNs. These libraries run entirely in your browser. We do not share any user data with them.

7. Data Security

Because we don't collect or store your files, there is nothing on our servers to breach. Your documents are protected by your own device's security — and by the fact that we never see them in the first place.

8. Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing for us to delete, correct, or export. However, you have complete control over:

  • Clearing your browser's local storage (removes your theme preference).
  • Blocking cookies from your browser settings.
  • Opting out of personalized ads via the tools listed in Section 4.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Website means you accept the updated policy.
